The iconic five-star Marqu\u00e9s de Riscal hotel has recently undertaken an expansion of its facilities, resulting \u2013among other great innovations\u2013 in the Riscal Suite Terrace, the largest of the rooms in the complex. This is a suite measuring 65 m2<\/sup> with a loft-style design and a large terrace with views of the past and present: the historic center of Elciego (with its imposing sixteenth century church) and the main building of the hotel (built by the renowned architect Frank Gehry). This juxtaposition between yesterday and today, between sandstone and titanium, between earthy colors and the rose\/silver\/gold hues inspired by Marqu\u00e9s de Riscal wine bottles presents one of the most noteworthy views of the Basque Country.<\/p>\n

Lush vegetation flanks the terrace, providing it with privacy. This space has three different areas: the outdoor dining room with a capacity for six diners, the relaxation area with reclining sun loungers, and a sitting area with sofas that is covered by a pergola.<\/p>\n

Inside, there is another sitting area featuring a 55-inch TV, a desk, a dining table for two, a king-sized bed covered in down comforters and soft hypoallergenic pillows, and a refreshment center with a minibar, teapot, and Nespresso coffee maker.<\/p>\n

The spacious bathroom with a large closet and dressing area, covered in Italian marble and mirrors, has a floor-level shower, a free-standing bathtub, and double sinks with amenities from Caudalie \u2013 the French brand specializing in wine therapy which manages the hotel’s spa.<\/p>\n

Your stay at the Riscal Suite Terrace includes a complimentary bottle of wine as a special welcome gift, the daily delivery of a newspaper of the guest’s choice, a guided tour of the Marqu\u00e9s de Riscal winery (the oldest in \u00c1lava, founded in 1858), and views like none other of centuries gone by.<\/p>\n
