We will visit Paris alongside one of the writers that has best narrated Parisian life: Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Beigbeder. His rebellious nights in the French capital have given him material for several books, and when asked to choose his favorite corners, he gave us a list of 10 Top establishments handpicked for their style (and because they serve his favorite brand of vodka, Le Philtre Organic Vodka):<\/p>\n

  1. The place to be is the Book Bar at H\u00f4tel Grand Amour because it has the hippest and coolest design and crowd. Many of my friends eat and drink and party there: Andr\u00e9, Olivier Zahm (Purple <\/em>Magazine), Daft Punk, Justice, La Femme, etc. There is always something going on. And the rooms are original. It\u2019s like the Chateau Marmont of Paris.<\/li>\n
  2. To dance: Le Petit Palace. It just reopened. The boss is Lionel Bensemoun, who founded the best nightclubs in Paris (Le Baron and Le Consulat). It\u2019s one of the most famous discos of the 1980\u2019s, turned into a theater.<\/li>\n
  3. Another night place is Georges on top of Centre Pompidou. Incredible views on a huge rooftop filled with gorgeous boys and girls. Many DJs play there on weekends.<\/li>\n
  4. The oldest and most beautiful restaurant in Paris is Lap\u00e9rouse. It\u2019s like having dinner in a Proust novel. All the famous writers have been there. It used to be a brothel in the 19th century.<\/li>\n
  5. Try to visit the new store La Samaritaine and see the restaurant on the upper floor.<\/li>\n
  6. Ischia is the new Italian restaurant by Cyril Lignac, who is a good chef and attracts nice folks from the media.<\/li>\n
  7. I love Girafe because of the magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower. But go only if it is not raining!<\/li>\n
  8. Andia is a Peruvian food court. The decoration is pretty and it\u00b4s a fun place for rich kids.<\/li>\n
  9. The new MK2 Hotel Paradiso has a cinema in each room! Also, the rooftop is crazy with an outdoor cinema in the garden. A very interesting concept. A must-see!<\/li>\n
  10. Last but not least, I always recommend having a caf\u00e9<\/em> at La Palette because you will meet all the artists of Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s… and me, if I am in the City of Light.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Like what Beigbeder describes in Windows on the World<\/em>: \u201cthe view is splendid, because this is the only place in Paris where you cannot see the Montparnasse Tower.\u201d<\/li>\n
    5. Louis Vuitton Foundation: the building showcases Frank Gehry in his purest form and the temporary exhibitions are of the highest quality.<\/li>\n
    6. Decorated by Philippe Starck, Kong, the restaurant popularized by the series \u201cSex and the City,\u201d is a must for a chic lunch.<\/li>\n
    7. Palais de Tokyo offers well-thought-out exhibitions of modern and contemporary art in a unique and surprising space.<\/li>\n
    8. Les Petites Mains, the bar\/restaurant of Palais Galliera, the recently reopened City of Paris Museum of Fashion, has one of the most pleasant terraces in the capital.<\/li>\n
    9. Les Ambassadeurs Bar, at the H\u00f4tel de Crillon, exudes quintessential Parisian spirit in a luxurious atmosphere and with a magnificent cocktail menu.<\/li>\n
