<\/a><\/a>Aitor Delgado is a private guide brimming with knowledge, an open book ready to surprise his clients with short anecdotes that make visitors feel more like locals that outsiders. To bring these stories closer to foreigners, in addition to mastering their language, it is also important to understand their background and the idiosyncrasies of their culture. To that end, Aitor is a true master \u2013 he has visited more than 50 countries around the world and travels abroad regularly to familiarize himself with other cultures. In addition, he is fluent in Spanish, Basque, English, and Italian and has an intermediate level of French and German. <\/span><\/p>\n

Different associations and companies have acknowledged Aitor\u2019s work: he is a member of the Professional Tourist Guide Association; he was named the Best Bilbao Guide in the Luxury Travel Awards of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021; he has been a BASQUE LUXURY member since 2018; in 2019 the Basque Government classified his professional activity as an innovative project; and TripAdvisor has given him its certificate of excellence every year from 2014\u00a0onwards \u2013 thus, he has been added to their \u201cHall of Fame.\u201d\u00a0His work has been reflected by travel bloggers, journalists, and authors of novels, history books, and cultural books. He has even helped with the drafting of Lonely Planet\u2019s current Basque Country edition.<\/span><\/p>\n

His 19 years\u2019 experience as a guide have given him countless resources to meet demands of all types. He is able to design \u2013among others\u2013 cultural tours around Basque museums (Aitor is an authorized Guggenheim Bilbao guide) and tours about historical characters, as well as original gastronomic experiences, sports courses, and visits to vineyards, natural parks, the coast, animal farms, and even industrial areas. Based on his clients\u2019 specific interests, Aitor designs every last detail of his tours. Thus, he manages to turn every excursion into a fun and enriching learning experience. That is his goal, and it is also his greatest achievement. That versatility and ability to create custom tours throughout the Basque region in both Spain and France have been embraced by tourists with high purchasing power who are traveling alone, as a couple, with family, or with friends and who aim to make the most of their stay. <\/span><\/p>\n
