The artist reflects on the human condition through his series \u201cRostros\u201d (Faces), featuring a variety of materials such as marble dust and metals to achieve enigmatic figuration, which brings the viewer to experience different emotions and sensations. That\u2019s what art is about: producing a catharsis, a shock to the soul. When his work is contemplated in a curious, open, and courageous way, there is that unique, deep, and sincere conversation between the artist, the piece, and the viewer.<\/p>\n
In his abstract work, black is the lead player and warmer-toned flashes can be seen behind the dark brush strokes of the foreground. His work represents deep and elegant painting in which light gives us a direction, a path, a meaning.<\/p>\n
Last year he presented the \u201cDeidades\u201d (Deities) series \u2013monochromatic faces made with pigments and wires\u2013 at the Barrena Palace of Ordizia. Through his art\u2019s simplicity, he is able to bring together the Earth and Heaven, the human and the divine.
