Barayazarra + Casteres is an architecture and design studio based in San Sebasti\u00e1n and founded by Ignacio Barayazarra and Rosario Casteres. From their unique office, an elegant street-level space divided over two floors and located in the center of the city (in the middle of the San Mart\u00edn neighborhood), they tackle architectural projects, interior design projects, and the design of personalized accessories and jewelry \u2013 and they do so from top to bottom, thinking about even the smallest of details so as to instill order and balance to their work, sharing their expert vision, advice, and dedication whilst listening to the client and transforming the ephemeral into something eternal.<\/p>\n
Both architects create spaces and objects that are intimately linked to people by using design to conceive tailored projects through respect and passion and with a unique concept behind them. Thus, they generate wellbeing in people\u2019s daily lives through beauty \u2013understood as the highest integration of form and function\u2013, as well as a design that provides order and balance and makes everyday life beautiful by mixing inspiration and functionality.<\/p>\n
What differentiates this studio is precisely its holistic view towards design: they act from the largest aspect to the smallest, from the space itself right down to the most minimal details, from interior and exterior design to the artisan manufacture of jewelry and personalized pieces, working with any form of expression and creativity.<\/p>\n
The studio is constantly evolving, always looking beyond and opening up into other fields to absorb knowledge outside of the creators\u2019 own comfort zone. Thus, each decade \u2013they have been in practice for almost 30 years\u2013, they change their dynamics to nourish themselves and be able to continue creating future projects which are different and contain that vital connection: a relationship with people.<\/p>\n
