With more than 300,000 visitors annually, the Aquarium of San Sebastian is one of the most visited museums in the Basque Country, and not only because it is a complex that houses one of the richest marine collections of the Cantabrian Sea, but also because of the wide variety of spaces available to hold first-class events. Thus, Aquarium Congress & Events came to be: an exclusive service for institutions, companies, and individuals who are seeking to hire comprehensive event coordination services.
The Aquarium can handle banquets and guided tours for companies, making use of the 4,000 m2 that comprise the whole of the path through its interior and its different rooms. The space can be rented in its entirety or by zones, depending on the customer’s needs. Presided over by a spectacular aquarium with tropical fauna, the Auditorium is the most requested space for presentations. Also noteworthy is the Nautilus Room, which measures 58 m2 and can be used for meetings, press conferences, coffee breaks, and cocktail receptions. In the event that a more spacious room is necessary to hold an event or an exhibition with a greater number of guests, the T Room is a good alternative: this space measures 110 m² and can hold up to 100 people. The “Zona Blanca” (“White Zone”), in turn, has a terrace that overlooks the spectacular La Concha Bay. The crowning jewel of this complex is, undoubtedly, the Oceanario – a glass tunnel measuring 18 meters in length and surrounded by more than 7,000 fish which represent 47 different species.
On the Aquarium’s upper level, the Bokado restaurant can be found. This is an establishment which, in addition to having yet another attractive space for events, also provides catering services. Each and every one of the building’s spaces are multipurpose and equipped with cutting-edge technology to turn any celebration into a unique experience under the sea.
