The salon’s good work and the satisfaction of actors and directors from the silver screen have helped Jean and his team to be, year after year, the official stylists of the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Every September they occupy a suite at the María Cristina Hotel to get the guests ready before the elegant events, presentations, and press conferences. And the fact is that the salon offers what they call the “Ramiro Mata Gold Services,” in which the stylist can go to the client’s home or hotel where they are staying.
This service is also very popular amongst brides on their big day. While the initial consultation and testing of different hairstyles is usually done at their hair salon in the center of San Sebastian, on the day of the wedding Jean normally goes to the hotel where the bride is staying, accompanied by a make-up artist, to do her hair and makeup before the ceremony. This is a luxury service that is endorsed by the big stars of Hollywood – people who, when it comes to their hair, know who should be the one shouting, “cut!”
