S’Thai Collection: we visited the new Balinese spa in Vitoria-Gasteiz that was created by businessman and former soccer player Aitor Ocio

True to its founding philosophy, every corner of S’Thai Collection reflects the desire to preserve the historical and architectural legacy of the spaces that house it, merging the spa in a respectful and harmonious way with the oriental spirit, which is ever-present in the furniture, sculptures, and paintings – personally selected by Aitor Ocio himself in Bali.
Just like in Bilbao, where S’Thai is located in the emblematic Montero House (a historical/artistic monument built in 1904 and the only modernist work in the city), S’Thai established itself in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the very heart of the city, at number 25 of the historic San Prudencio Street. A new retail space that brings back the original spirit that characterized this very special environment for the people of Vitoria-Gasteiz, preserving some of its most significant original architectural elements. Elements like the arches from what was the original façade (dating back to 1881), pieces that once lined the sides of San Prudencio Street and are now inside the premises, acting as the entrance hall for this new urban temple of wellbeing. Also noteworthy are the original wrought iron columns, supported by their respective bases (also from the same year), which flank the corridor that today leads clients to the different suites where treatments are carried out.
Meticulously designed to create an intimate atmosphere, the space’s aromas, the sounds from the water features, and the soft and warm lighting wash over visitors from the very first instant – all in an atmosphere of relaxation and disconnection that is ideal for enjoying body treatments (traditional Balinese and Thai massages, hot stone massages, bamboo cane massages, and aromatherapy), beauty treatments (body scrub, Sarawak pepper treatment, facial treatments), specific foot treatments (reflexology, foot scrub, feet calm), combined treatments (massage and beauty), as well as exclusive treatments designed entirely by the team at S’Thai, like the Santai Ritual, the Couples Ritual, the Ibu Ritual (designed for future mothers), as well as the relaxing Dreamland massage.
