Porsche: The Same Timeless Thrill in a More Sustainable Future
Electrification represents one of the most decisive transformations of our era, gradually replacing fossil fuels with electric energy in key sectors such as the automotive industry. The demand for electric vehicles continues to grow steadily, and leading manufacturers are moving forward with determination to meet that demand without compromising on quality or design. This commitment is evident at Porsche Center Bilbao and Porsche Center Pamplona, official dealerships of the German firm serving the Basque Country, Navarre, and surrounding areas. Porsche has embraced electrification with five luxury models offering electrified or fully electric versions: Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, Taycan, and 911.
Following the Taycan, launched in 2019 and extensively updated in 2024, the Macan Electric became the brand’s second fully electric model and the first electric vehicle developed from an existing product identity. After a decade of success, the internal combustion Macan made way in 2024 for a new, updated, 100% electric, zero-emission era. The Macan Electric remains sporty, embodying Porsche’s unmistakable identity, while also being practical, elegant, technologically advanced, customizable, and highly capable on any terrain.
Michael Mauer, Porsche’s Head of Design, described the new SUV during its official launch in Singapore: “The new Macan is clearly recognizable by its brand identity as part of the Porsche product family. The classic Porsche proportions have been further developed and optimally adapted to the challenges of an electric vehicle. This has further heightened the sporty, modern, and dynamic appearance of the Macan.”
The range includes four versions —Macan, Macan 4, Macan 4S, and Macan Turbo— with outputs from 360 to 639 hp, offering either rear-wheel drive for the entry-level model or all-wheel drive for the others. The battery provides a WLTP range of over 600 kilometers, enabling long journeys —for example, from the Basque Country to Madrid— without intermediate charging stops, proving that the future of grand travel is already here.
