After working for a decade as a fashion and advertising stylist, Helena Iturralde opened Manila Shop in 2018, a fashion boutique that is anything but conventional. The store, located in the center of San Sebastián, presents a new silhouette for women, featuring different volumes and symmetries that can bring the best out of every body type.
Iturralde selects garments and accessories for her establishment by niche brands, local, Spanish and international firms (including some well-known labels like MM6 Maison Margiela), always seeking fine, high-quality fabrics: sheepskin coats, wool capes, ecowool sweaters, natural linen shirts, mesh cloth bags, cotton sweatshirts, leather ankle boots, or alpaca sweaters.
Nevertheless, the greatest contribution that Iturralde makes to her clients, and the thing they value most, is her advice for how to create an outfit. Thanks to her prior experience as a fashion stylist, customers can leave the store with a completely unique outfit that highlights their presence and that they would never have thought up on their own.
In addition to the garments by different brands, the latest new addition to the shop is an accessory by Iturralde herself: a beautiful, limited edition, cowhide leather pouch.
What does the shop aspire to for 2022? To start selling men’s clothing.
