The renowned fashion and advertising stylist Helena Iturralde has just opened a concept store that brings together her entire creative universe in a unique space that has made both local and international audiences fall in love: Manila.
After working for a decade as a stylist, Iturralde inaugurated Manila Shop in 2018, a fashion boutique that first presented a new silhouette for women. The success that she achieved was such that her original store soon became too small, and now she has made the leap to a shop measuring 350 m2 located on Hernani Street. Decorated by interior designer Ana Tena, the space features design pieces by Patricia Urquiola, decorative objects by Vitra, and works of art by local creators like Miguel Balliache.
The central core of the business –despite having textiles, decorative pieces, candles, cosmetics, and works of art for sale– continues to be fashion, mainly for women, although men also have a clothing and accessories section.
The garments and accessories selected by Iturralde are by niche brands, local firms (like Loreak Mendian), national companies, and international creators (MM6 Maison Margiela, Transit, etc.), and she also has unique pieces created by the winners of the BIAAF International Art and Fashion Competition. Likewise, the shop’s collection of accessories of its own creation stands out: a limited-edition, cowhide leather pouch and reversible, waterproof, cotton hats. Iturralde’s aim is to always offer clothes made with fine fabrics of the highest quality: wool, sheepskin, ecowool, natural linen, mesh cloth, alpaca, and ecological jute. With this variety of garments by different designers and brands, the stylist manages to propose new looks with volumes and symmetries that are able to bring the best out of every body type.
