Located in the Golden Triangle of the City of Lights (made up of George V Avenue, Champs-Elysées, and Montaigne Avenue), the Bulgari Hotel Paris has just opened its doors – an establishment that has brought the class of the hotels in the French capital to another level. Designed by the Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel Architecture Studio, the hotel –which in many ways resembles its sister properties in Milan, London, Dubai, Shanghai, and Beijing (use of marble, silk linings, granite, tapestries, varnished eucalyptus woodwork)– exudes impeccable Italian style in its 76 rooms and suites, as well as in the common areas: the restaurant, the bar, the lounge, and the spa.
The rooms, with a surface area of between 42 m2 and 1,000 m2, are pure sophistication and comfort, with light colors on the walls that highlight the color palette of the Dedar fabrics (in garnet, amethyst, and yellow topaz) and the furniture (in hazelnut and brown tones). The bathrooms, some with a private hammam, include amenities created by master perfumer Jacques Cavalier, yielding an Italian olfactory environment that starts with hints of Calabrian bergamot. The most imposing of all its rooms, the Bulgari Penthouse, has not only been game-changing for the hotel industry in Paris but has also garnered a reputation as one of the best suites in Europe. With an interior space measuring 400 m2 and an outdoor surface area of 600 m2, the Bulgari Penthouse occupies the last two floors of the hotel, offering a 360º panoramic view of the most iconic monuments of the capital. The suite has two kitchens, a dining room, a bar, a bedroom, a bathroom completely finished in Arbescato marble (the tub and sinks are carved from a single piece of Arabescato Corchia), a gym, a spacious closet, a hammam, an office with a cigar humidor, and a living room with an Alpange piano. The huge terrace, featuring an outdoor dining room and different seating areas, is crowned by a garden of oak, apple, and pear trees that overlook the Eiffel Tower.
Niko Romito, awarded three Michelin Stars for his restaurant Reale de Italia, is in charge of the cuisine at Bulgari Hotel Paris. The chef has created an anthology of the most outstanding Italian dishes, re-imagining them with contemporary flair. His creations are served at Il Ristorante (an elegant restaurant that has an indoor dining room, a private room for reserved parties, and a cozy garden terrace), the Bulgari Lounge (an informal space where you can enjoy chocolates, sweets, and cakes), as well as the Bulgari Bar (where cheese and cold cut platters are served accompanied by cocktails from bartender Leonardo Zanini).
Based on the importance of the baths of Ancient Rome, the hotel has created a 1,300 m2 spa distributed over two floors. The Bulgari Spa has a semi-Olympic heated pool measuring 25 m, a Vitality Pool decorated with a mosaic inspired by the Baths of Caracalla, a hammam clad in white marble, an ice fountain carved from an imposing block of black granite, infrared saunas, nine treatment rooms, a spa suite, a gym, a hairdresser, and a beauty salon.
The attitude towards service (impeccable, genuine, yet at the same time informal) at the Bulgari Hotel Paris has only one rule: excellence; and it is precisely this which makes this five-star establishment stand out above its competitors. This accommodation option offers exceptional services such as transfers in a Maserati, Berluti shoe shining, and a butler service in all suites (featuring agile communication via WhatsApp or messaging services). This last service is responsible for surprising guests with countless little details and assisting them during their stay.
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has made its way into the main cities of the world with a philosophy that has conquered the most demanding travelers – it has managed to take the excellence of creating fine jewelry and bring it to luxury hotels. In Paris the brand has hit the scene with a great splash and we are looking forward to its upcoming openings in Rome, Tokyo, Miami, Ranfushi, and Los Angeles.
