BASQUE LUXURY FIRM: OCIO
Nowadays, I seldom refer to my time as a soccer player; that’s something that is part of a distant past. Today many more people identify me with my current activity, with this business/entrepreneurial stage… because I have been working on different business models for ten years now, and many of them are already well established and consolidated. We are now celebrating the tenth anniversary of Henao Wellness Clinic, not to mention the years that S’Thai has been up and running – and all this in the Basque Country.
Except for the four years I was playing in Seville, the rest of the time I lived in the Basque Country. I was born in Vitoria and did part of my college degree in San Sebastián. I have played on Deportivo Alavés, Club Deportivo Aurrera de Vitoria, Sociedad Deportiva Eibar, Club Atlético Osasuna, and Athletic Club de Bilbao.
Once I had retired from football, I had no doubt that I was going to stay in Bilbao. Thus, my roots in the Basque Country are clear: it seems to me a privileged place to live. It is where my family is, where I have developed and lived the bulk of my sports career, and where I started and grew my business career. I think it is a strategically located place; a region with many opportunities and also with many qualities that align with my way of understanding life and living.
