Onstage as well as offstage, I see my life as a process of evolution. As a person, I have been nurturing and forging myself from the experiences that I have had thanks to my work, and from the learning that I have done as a result of living in several countries, speaking six languages, and discovering different cultures and mentalities.
As a dancer and artist, I have always challenged myself to work in different companies and with a great number of choreographers who have introduced me to a multitude of styles. I have done this with the aim of always continuing to learn and, above all, to discover myself as an artist.
Today, after 33 years on stage, I realize that I have evolved from being a simple dancer to also being a producer, a creator, and a director. And I feel very grateful for the knowledge and experience that I have gathered along the way – knowledge which now allows me to continue enjoying my work, even in a much more comprehensive way.
To evolve is to challenge oneself, not to put oneself into a neatly defined category, to take risks, to accept oneself, to change, to surprise… in short, to evolve is to live. And my life is dance!
