Located just across from the María Cristina Hotel in San Sebastián, Atlantis has become an essential destination for lovers of fashion and artisanal design. Its owners, Elisabeth Múgica and Clara Ortiz de Lanzagorta, travel each year to Europe’s most prestigious fairs in search of accessories, treasures of adornment, perfumes, and high-end bijou pieces that embody the dreamlike essence of the Atlantis universe. Its shop windows showcase ponchos, bandeaux, head scarves, and shawls by Missoni; rubber and fabric handbags by Fri-Yay; fantasy bijou pieces by Dominique Denaive; baroque Italian leather bags inlaid with gemstones by Vintage Bijoux; and elegant, timeless fragrances by Anthologie, created by master perfumer Lucien Ferrero. The boutique also offers a curated selection of scarves from Leonard Paris, Elie Saab, Barbieri, Missoni, Christian Lacroix, Marco Pascali, Misamu, and Moschino, as well as the brand’s own shawl creations — designed by the two owners themselves under the Clara & Beth label. This in-house label was born in 2023 with the launch of its first jewelry line: bracelets, bangles, chokers, necklaces, rings, and earrings that blend classic elegance with a bohemian spirit. Since then, every Christmas, Atlantis unveils a new collection. The 2024 line featured gold and aged silver bracelets, earrings, and rings adorned with fossils and tourmalines, inspired by the art of the Vienna Secession. The 2025 collection, meanwhile, draws on the symbolism of the rose thorn, with rose gold and rhodium-plated silver jewels set with white sapphires, evoking a renewed 1970s spirit.
Atlantis also offers a personalized bag and hat design service with pieces that are handcrafted by Gill Connon, a Scottish national who has made San Sebastián her home and who has vast experience in the fashion and theatrical costume sectors. Each of these creations is unique and unrepeatable — a perfect gift and, at the same time, a tribute to the artistry of local craftspeople.
