Do you know which play this conversation is from? Here’s a clue: it was performed for the first time in 1904. Another clue… it was written by James Matthew Barrie.
This play, which has acted as a source of inspiration for numerous films, has made generations of children dream of the possibility of gliding and soaring through the skies like a bird. Luckily, thanks to technological advances, it is no longer necessary to be “gay, innocent, and heartless” to fly… just getting into a helicopter will suffice.
In the Basque Country, BASQUE LUXURY HELICOPTER is the company in charge of taking children and adults to the skies, allowing them to discover the region from a new perspective up high. This initiative first took flight in 2021 with a Robinson 44 helicopter which can seat one pilot and three passengers. After the success achieved, in 2022 a new model was added: the Bell 206 Jet Ranger B3, which has a capacity for four passengers. In 2023, yet another new addition was made, this time of a AS350 Écureuil, which can seat up to five.
BASQUE LUXURY HELICOPTER offers panoramic flights of 20, 35, and 55 minutes in length which can be customized to the client’s taste, as well culinary tours consisting of a direct flight to a restaurant where a special menu can be enjoyed. The Akelarre, Laia, and El Puntido restaurants are some of these culinary destinations, as well as wineries such as K5 and Viñedos de Páganos, where private tasting events can be held.
A helitaxi service is also available to make transfers to ports, airports, hotels, private estates, wineries, and restaurants in Spain, France, Andorra, and Portugal – and even to the high seas, being able to land on megayachts that have a heliport. In fact, two heads of state recently spent several days together on a luxury yacht that required the presence of one of the helicopters for several days. It is never too late to dream of these luxury toys, and even less to dream of flying!
